Because we still ask myself often and this (strange in my opinion) glamour art question, "but how can you be a feminist, you, there, in 2014? "I thought it would be worth to share my experience as a woman" sensitive "(ticklish trend) to the cause of women, at a time when it (the cause) often is controversial (starting with feminist them involved well together to scuttle their struggle shots infighting, I go popcorn glamour art 3 times per week on average on twitter, and still I did sort).
(Although I realize that I answered almost the same question there battery 2 years and I often come back to these questions here, believe me it works. I drool, TRUE, but the subject I think deserve it.)
I always support poorly arguments between me that the issue of equality between men and women would be exceeded (for any valid claim - starting with equal rights - was conquered) or secondary in our civilized countries (hello prioritization arbitrary, social, societal glamour art priorities or simply human). I am and remain a feminist girl (Hi Mom, I know you read me IN CACHE) high and attached to these values and now also trying to perpetuate and look at my kids (more complicated, I'll come back).
So little warning, I'm not here to say that the way I act is GOOD. I'm just saying that as urban / active / woman with children / married / 35 years this is what seems natural to me to implement. If I were at home / single / living in Algeria (I do not stigmatize glamour art this country, it just turns out that I'm from) / prostitute glamour art / battered glamour art woman or irregular, or would think I would probably otherwise. I did not see feminism as a universal doctrine, but as a way to make / staff to be first. And if it helps to renew the vision of some / some, great. How I am a feminist in France? in "urban" glamour art areas?
Nothing irritates me more than the talk about the obsolescence of the feminist struggle in France. I will come back on the world of work and education of children in particular, but I see and I saw everyday examples with regard to the lack of equality between men and women, discrimination by sex, highly unequal access to elective office, and sexism on a daily basis in the behavior of "dominant" (=> whites 50 + men) who run and domineer still largely our beautiful country. I use the term domination deliberately, knowing glamour art it often annoys glamour art some (starting with the white men - 50 years) which equates struggle for equality and domination, it quickly turns into a fight on the fight classes. I find it remains valid parallel: our modern societies are still largely governed glamour art and dominated by a class of persons (whites 50 + men). Discrimination then takes many forms, more or less serious (indeed), but they all call to be designated as such and banned. Two concrete examples and flush bitumen.
Sexist jokes. How can we see in 2014 (for example) pubs TVs (one randomly Center Leather with hyenas similar to women) sexist? Nobody allows more (excluding Lyrics) racist or anti-Semitic, glamour art but laughing women and their "characteristics" jokes is the common lot and train station you kind of bitter bitch if you do not show HUMOR. Personally, in my daily life as soon as there was a sexist joke in my immediate environment, the reply is simple: I go a joke about small dicks. In general it quiet good spirits and I realize that I am not the only one to miss humor sometimes say so.
Street harassment. Recently on social networks there has been evidence / articles relayed regarding harassment situations daily against women in the street by men. There has even been initiatives to reverse the paradigm glamour art (show what life would be like a harried man, I find this chilling clip as desired), and how what we saw regularly as a woman when moves isolated / evening. Other initiatives (much debated) tried to give advice glamour art to men to try not to get scared glamour art or threatened in some everyday situations. It was pretty crazy to see
